Code 3 SuperVisor Flex Interior Light
Code 3 SuperVisor Flex Interior Light
The Code 3 SuperVisor® Flex is an updated version of the front windshield interior light, the SuperVisor U, and was built for even more universality, especially for modern police vehicles. The Code 3 SuperVisor Flex is available in MultiColor (18-up) and Single color (9-up) using the latest Torus LED technology. These high-powered Torus LEDs make the SuperVisor Flex very efficient, drawing less than 6 amps on average.
To make the installation process as simple as possible, the SuperVisor Flex comes with a quick-disconnect center cord allowing users to install the driver and passenger side separately, and then connect them together when both sides are completely installed making installation very efficient and hassle-free. The SuperVisor Flex requires no drilling for mounting and looks like a part of the vehicle at just 1.3 inches tall.
The SuperVisor Flex lightheads are situated so they shine straight ahead, while the LEDs are designed to spread light so they do not require aiming. The SuperVisor Flex is designed to fit all Police Pursuit Vehicles and Special Service Vehicles, plus many other non-traditional police vehicles.
There are 19 flash patterns available for the single color version, and 32 flash sequences and 12 flash patterns available for the MultiColor version. On the MultiColor version, a central controller box controls the flash sequences and patterns. The expertly designed gaskets of the SuperVisor Flex minimize light flashback and the adjustable side light-blocking shields have been designed specifically to block out flashback light.
The individual passenger and driver modules are 18.7 inches wide and can be extended to 55.5 inches in total width, due to the 18-inch connector cable, still making it more compact than previous models. The full SuperVisor Flex weighs just 7.5 pounds, while the passenger-only version weighs just 4 pounds. The SuperVisor Flex is reverse polarity protected and comes with a five-year warranty on the LEDs.
The Flex was introduced into the SuperVisor line for two reasons. First, the Flex uses the newest Torus 9-up and 18-up LED modules giving it superior performance over the older models in the SuperVisor lineup.
Second, as the word flex indicates, the SuperVisor Flex is the most versatile in the lineup. The Flex gives police departments the freedom to swap the system between vehicles of virtually any make or model, saving them money by not having to buy a new system if the department switches vehicles.
The light output of this light is on par with that of a lightbar, but is used in an unmarked or semi-marked vehicle. Today, along with the Flex, the SuperVisor lineup from Code 3 includes the custom vehicle models: MultiColor SuperVisor and SuperVisor with Torus (single color), and universal vehicle model, SuperVisor U.
The MultiColor SuperVisor features the same Torus MultiColor technology as seen in Code3’s 21TR Plus lightbar. The MultiColor SuperVisor features the ability to turn the red/white or blue/white modules into full white takedown for tremendous scene lighting.
The MultiColor SuperVisor is available for the 2011+ Caprice, 2011+ Charger (with and without dome), 2011+ Ford PI Sedan and Utility, 2015 Tahoe, and 2011+ Impala. Code 3 also has custom SuperVisor sizes for almost all police vehicles, both current and past.
The SuperVisor with Torus is a custom fit, windshield-mounted interior lighting system available in standard single lighthead colors. The Torus lighthead uses internal reflection technology in a compact lighthead to deliver superior straight-on performance. The thin design of the SuperVisor with Torus keeps you undercover by remaining unseen until energized, while a special housing prevents the lights from reflecting back into the driver’s eyes. For undercover, high-output interior windshield lights, one of the Code 3 SuperVisor models is perfect for the application.
